Behaviours that challenge

Behaviours are considered challenging if they are negatively impacting the child or young person’s life. Some behaviours that challenge may include:
  • Physical aggression towards others
  • Self-injurious behaviours
  • PICA
  • Smearing
  • Absconsion
 

Neurodiverse Group Sessions

6-week group sessions for neurodiverse children and young people.

  • Small groups
  • Aged 8-12, groups
  • Aged 13-17, groups

Therapeutic Life Story Work

Therapeutic life story work is a trauma informed therapy to support individuals who experienced separation and loss. It is particularly effective for children and young people who are in the care system i.e. foster care or residential care.

Mental Health

Behaviour therapy is effective for supporting a range of mental health difficulties such as:
  • Anxiety
  • OCD
  • Phone Addiction
  • Trauma

These can lead to issues such as:

  • Social isolation
  • School avoidance
  • Disengagement from preferred activities.
 

Training

Training can be provided for the following areas:

  • Understanding Autism
  • Positive behaviour support

Training can be provided to schools and organisations who support children and young people with a diagnosis of autism (residential services, local family resource centres, youth clubs, etc).

Parenting Workshops

Informative 3-hour workshops for parents in the following areas:

  • Effective communication
  • Autism and sensory processing

I’m Audrey Morris, a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) based at Kells Primary Care Centre and Oldcastle Counselling Centre, County Meath. I work with children and adolescents who are struggling with behaviours that restrict their lives, anxiety, emotional difficulties or who have recently received a neurodivergent diagnosis.
