Audrey worked with us to put together a positive behaviour support plan with our son Donnacha. Who has autism and a mild intellectual disability. We were experiencing substantial behavioural difficulties and as a family it was a very difficult and stressful time. Where we were all held to ransom by his inability to cope with even the smallest changes or routine demands. Audrey with her calm skilled encouragement and enormous support took our situation in have quickly and provided us with guidance and structure that made a huge difference to our day to day lives. She helped us develop useful child and family centred strategies that were easy to implement and very effective. Her ability to teach both us and Donnacha how to recognise triggers and implement suitable consequences was brilliant. Also how to work on and recognise stress and other influences on our family was very helpful. We are forever grateful to Audrey for all her wonderful help and support at this time and at intervals over the years.
We found Audrey through a recommendation from a friend who had been supported by her. Audrey was one of the first professionals working with our daughter who saw the little girl through the behaviours and championed her at every opportunity. Audrey provided insight, guidance and a bespoke plan that was hugely individualised to our daughter and family. The recommendations and observations she gave us and school were incredibly helpful and made things better for my little girl. I would urge anyone who needs support from a professional for their family member to contact Audrey.
I have worked alongside Audrey in a professional capacity supporting children and adults with complex care needs for a number of years. Audrey demonstrated a person centred approach that I found inspiring and motivating. The level of kindness, care, compassion and dedication Audrey displayed throughout all interactions with the people she supported was head and tails above other clinicians I have worked with. Audrey provided clear guidance, recommendations and support plans which improved people’s quality of life immeasurably.
I had the pleasure of working alongside Audrey Morris for approximately two years while I was employed as Assistant Director of Services with Embrace. During this time, Audrey worked as a Behaviour Specialist, and I had the opportunity to work closely with her across a variety of services supporting adults with complex needs.
Audrey consistently demonstrated an exceptional commitment to person-centred practice. She took the time to understand each individual, ensuring that her assessments and recommendations reflected their unique strengths, preferences, communication style, and support needs. Her approach was always respectful, compassionate, and focused on improving quality of life through practical, evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support.
One of Audrey’s greatest strengths was her ability to work collaboratively with frontline staff and management teams. She was highly responsive to the challenges staff faced in supporting individuals with behaviours of concern and provided clear, practical guidance that was both achievable and grounded in best practice. She had a natural ability to coach and support staff, building their confidence while maintaining a strong focus on positive outcomes for the individual.
My experience of Audrey’s work came through direct observation, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the review of behavioural assessments, support plans, and intervention outcomes. She approached complex situations thoughtfully, using evidence, professional judgement, and careful analysis to develop meaningful and effective support strategies. She was always professional, approachable, and committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for the people she supported.
As Audrey moves into private practice, I have every confidence that she will provide an outstanding service to individuals, families, and organisations. Her extensive knowledge, person-centred values, professionalism, and ability to build trusting relationships make her exceptionally well suited to independent practice. I have no hesitation in recommending Audrey to anyone seeking high-quality behavioural support, consultation, or Positive Behaviour Support services.
I wish Audrey every success in this exciting next stage of her career.
